Gift from Charles Burton honors his mother, Ann L. Burton, and supports Bayhealth’s mission to expand pediatric care for families across southern Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore
Milford, Del. — 11/3/25 — The i.g. Burton Auto Group is proud to announce the upcoming dedication of the Bayhealth Ann L. Burton Center for Children, a new healthcare facility on the Bayhealth Sussex Campus in Milford, Delaware. The center will be named in honor of Ann L. Burton, mother of Charles Burton, president and owner of the i.g. Burton Auto Group, in recognition of his generous pledge to support Bayhealth’s expanding pediatric services.
The dedication ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 19 at 2 p.m. on the Bayhealth Sussex Campus.
The Bayhealth Ann L. Burton Center for Children will provide specialized, compassionate care to children and families throughout southern Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Designed with young patients and their families in mind, the center will bring together advanced medical expertise, modern facilities, and a nurturing environment—all focused on helping children grow healthy and strong.
“My mother, Ann Burton, was a person of deep kindness and compassion,” said Charles Burton. “She believed in giving back and in taking care of others, especially children. This center is a reflection of her values and a lasting way to support families in our community.”

The dedication event will include remarks from Bayhealth leadership, members of the Burton family, and local officials, followed by a ribbon-cutting and tours of the new facility.
